Personality Spectral is very closed off and has little to no friends, he is a lot like his mother when she was younger which worries her, especially at his reluctance to make friends.

Biography Spectral is the first born child to Princess Twilight Sparkle and Comet Tail. Comet Tail became one of the royal guards for Twilight's castle in Ponyville, he quickly proved his loyalty to her and they grew very close. Spectral was born sometime after that. Since he was a colt, Spectral was very talented in magic. He took magic lessons from his mother as well as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna when he visited Canterlot. He was the first in his class to earn his Cutie Mark because he always knew he wanted to do magic. He earned it when he found a spell book in Princess Celestia's library and it taught him a lot. Spectral, much like his mother, focuses on reading more than friend making. Despite much urging from his mother and father, he refuses to make an attempt at friends. He will often shoo away his sister Carina and her friends when they bother him, or even if they try to interact with him, however when it comes to it Spectral will be extremely protective over his sister, especially against Midas. 

Spectral's goal is to successfully write a spell of his own, but has failed several times. He is however, very stubborn and persistent
